Embedding a Gender Transformative Approach (GTA) in Work & Workplaces

Samya partners with organisations to move beyond gender-sensitive compliance toward truly gender-transformative systems and programmes. We align external programming and internal policies/processes to drive lasting change. Our approach includes:

Assessment & Diagnostics: Gender audits of organisations and programmes to identify how gender is currently integrated and where capacity can be strengthened.

Reflection & Advisory Support: Facilitated dialogues on audit findings, technical mentoring on embedding gender in programmes and MEAL, and policy & process guidance for inclusive workplaces.

Capacity Strengthening & Action Planning: Tailored workshops and Training of Trainer (TOT) sessions on gender, sexuality, masculinities, gender transformative approaches (GTA), and workplace inclusion. We co-create gender action plans with clear targets, strategies, and M&E tools, and design curriculums using instructional design principles.

Programme, Network & Partnership Support

Samya provides end-to-end support for programmes, networks, and partnerships:

Secretariat Coordination & Management: We lead and manage multi-country collaborative networks and alliances, including the Coalition of Good Schools. This covers partner coordination, joint planning and budgeting, and organising network meetings and activities.

Technical & Advisory Support: We offer subject matter expertise and mentoring on VAWG/VAC programming and MEAL. Our advisory support includes working with programmes and networks like FCDO’s What Works 2 to strengthen implementation and programme outcomes.

Workshops Countering Gender Targeted Disinformation in Digital Spaces (A Samya Initiative)

Samya conducts workshops that critically examine how narratives around masculinity are being shaped in today’s digital and technological spaces. With the growing influence of regressive ‘manosphere’ content and AI-driven media, these platforms increasingly spread gender targeted disinformation that reinforces harmful gender norms. Our workshops:

around men and masculinity.

Create space for dialogue and critical thinking.

CSR Advisory & Consulting

Samya offers end-to-end CSR advisory with a focus on gender equality, women’s empowerment, and inclusive development. We help companies design and implement socially responsible initiatives that deliver measurable, sustainable impact. Our services include:
