Mizizi Elimu is a non-profit committed to improving learning outcomes for children and youth furthest behind. Zizi envisions an Africa where every child and young person learns and thrives. Their work involves consolidating evidence, innovating solutions and advocating to shape policy and practice. Their Strategy 2025 targets 5 million children and youth; 1 million being those furthest left behind.
Samya supported Mizizi Elimu in becoming a more gender transformative organisation by:
- Building staff perspectives on gender through multiple workshops and online mentoring sessions.
- Co-creating an action plan to support the operationalisation of the recommendation.
- Supporting the setup of a MEL framework at both organisational and programmatic levels to monitor and assess the transformation process.
