Jan Sahas is a community and survivor-centric non-profit working since 2000 to end sexual violence and forced labour, focusing strongly on enabling dignified livelihoods, access to justice, and empowerment of marginalised communities. Their interventions are designed to bring systemic change through grassroots action, survivor support, and policy-level advocacy. Jan Sahas has grown exponentially from 500 to 1500 employees since 2021. The organisation is investing in understanding gender issues within its team to improve mission delivery and create a stronger culture where women across the board feel safe and appreciated.
Samya is supporting this initiative by:
- Strengthening leadership of 2 cohorts of women’s employees through a series of workshops (in-person and online) to build their ability to voice their views, taking a stance, addressing biases and developing skills to manage conflicts.
- Supporting the team to create an action plan to embed the learnings into their work.
