CRY is a well-recognised not-for-profit in India, known for its pioneering work on children. The organisation has been working for more than 4 decades addressing various needs of children across 19 states in India with various stakeholders including parents, teachers, Anganwadi workers, communities, district and state-level governments as well as the children themselves to create a sustainable change. The project included capacity building of the CRY team on Gender and programming based on Gender Transformative Approach. It also included developing a curriculum framework on working with adolescent boys on gender in CRY’s work areas.
SAMYA is supporting the team on gender mainstreaming/integration by
● Perspective building on gender and sexuality lens in CRY programme
● Capacity development and training on gender for the entire CRY team in batches
● Creating a curriculum and capacity strengthening on gender equality
● Holding a ToT for their teams across 4 regions on the module and hand-holding support to deliver the same.
