Sharanya Gautam is a development practitioner with over 12 years of experience focused on adolescent development, mental health, and the prevention of gender-based violence. She has worked extensively on institutionalizing gender-transformative wellbeing programs within public school systems across India. She currently works as an independent consultant, supporting organisations working in gender and development with program design and measurement, qualitative research, and capacity strengthening. She also contributes as a researcher at SNEHA, where she leads the SNEHA Knowledge Centre, a hybrid resource focused on creating and disseminating knowledge in the field of gender-based violence.
Her previous work has centered on adolescent wellbeing, including roles as Manager for Training and Capacity Building at World Being, India, and Assistant Director at VOICE 4 Girls. A Chevening Scholar, she holds postgraduate degrees from the London School of Economics and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and is a Prevention Mentor with the Prevention Collaborative.
